Con Moto - is one of our intermediate combined schools concert band ensembles. Con Moto (meaning ‘with movement’) has a very important role in the NT Music School ensemble structure, forming a pathway between Da Capo (the beginning concert band) and Apogee (the advanced concert band). Con Moto often performs at various functions in the community, including the Seabreeze Festival in Nightcliff and the annual NT Music School Bands Festival.
Students need to be at a minimum of NTMS Level 1 or have started AMEB Grade 2 work and have a positive attitude toward learning in an ensemble setting. Students wishing to join should contact the NT Music School.
Rehearsals take place Wednesdays from 3.30pm - 4.30pm, at the NTMS Facilities on the Sanderson Middle School Campus.
Government School students contribute to these costs through their school instrumental lesson registration. All ensemble students from Non-Government Schools are required to contribute $200 per year to participate in Northern Territory Music School Ensembles.
These funds will be used for costs associated with providing performance opportunities such as transport and venue hire costs. Government School students contribute to these costs through their school instrumental lesson registration.
Please note: All students will need to purchase an ensemble uniform shirt for performances - $35
