Step 1 : Check the important dates

  • Competition Launched – March 2026
  • Competition Applications Open - March 2026
  • Competition Applications Close – Sep 17, Week 10, Term 3 
  • Judging Commences – Sep 18, Week 10, Term 3 
  • Judging Complete - Oct 14, Week 2, Term 4
  • Winners Announced - Nov 3, Week 5, Term 4

Step 2: What category are you submitting to

  • Contemporary Melodic: music with lyrics and sung melodies. Anything from hard rock to country ballads, R&B, and anything in between. 
  • Instrumental: Beats, electronic dance music, acoustic and or electric instruments. Can include minimal lyrics and/or vocal effects, but predominantly instrumental.
  • Rap and Rhyme: music and beats with lyrics spoken, rapped, spat, chanted, can also contain some melodically sung passages.
