Terms and Conditions for Application for Enrolment

Please read the following carefully:

• Enrolment with the NT Music School Instrumental Program is only available for students enrolled in an NT Government school
• Students will be withdrawn for lessons during regular classes and there is limited flexibility for lesson times. Clashes with other priority subjects can not always be avoided.
• This online form does not automatically secure a position in the Instrumental Program. Enrolment is subject to availability.
• Not all instruments are offered at all schools.
• Primary School students must be in Years 4, 5 or 6 in 2027 to be eligible for enrolment.
• All Year 11 or 12 students must be enrolled in a music performance subject, or recognised school ensemble (including an NT Music School ensemble) to be eligible for enrolment in lessons on the instrument that they play in the relevant ensemble or subject.
• Once enrolment is confirmed, families are welcome to make a $100 voluntary contribution.
• Parents must hire/provide an instrument, textbook and other resources as required. An equipment list will be provided on placement in the program. 
• In most schools, parents hire instruments through NT Music School. Sports Vouchers are accepted to assist with cost of hiring instruments. Some schools provide instrument hire and parents will be notified by their school if hire is available.  
• Parents will be required to provide a guitar, violin, viola or cello for their child if they are accepted into the program.
• If your child is absent or wishes to withdraw from the program parents are required to notify the NT Music School.
