Darwin BEAT Festival
Darwin BEAT Festival is the NT Department of Education and Training's annual performing arts showcase. This large-scale combined school's production, produced by NT Music School as part of a territory wide mission to support Arts education.
Since 1979, this eagerly anticipated event has dazzled audiences each September with three spectacular shows. Highlights include:
- A 300-voice choir
- A 25-piece orchestra
- Dance groups
- Rock bands, soloists, and various musical ensembles
- Talented vocalists
- Stunning lighting, sound, and audiovisual content
The BEAT Festival offers a glimpse into the wealth of talent in public schools, showcasing the dedication, commitment, and creativity of the teachers who nurture this talent.
Alice BEAT Festival
The Alice BEAT is part of the BEAT Festival, the major performing arts showcase for NT schools produced by NT Music School as part of a territory wide mission to support Arts education. This event features a massed choir, hosts, rock bands, musical soloists, dance troupes and ensembles.
Performances include primary and secondary students from schools across the Alice Springs and Barkly regions. Join us at the Alice BEAT Festival 2025 for an unforgettable celebration of talent and creativity.

Katherine BEAT Festival
Katherine BEAT Festival 2025 - Tempest
The Katherine BEAT Festival is the major annual Performing Arts showcase for NT Government Schools in the Katherine region. Featuring more than 150 participants comprising singers, dancers, hosts, and musicians of all ages from across the Big Rivers region of the NT. The BEAT Festival is a large scale combined-schools music production showcasing the great work of students and their teachers. The Katherine BEAT Festival is produced by NT Music School as part of a territory wide mission to support Arts education.
